I don't mean to be rude, it's just that Linux has been used for reliable and professional use for many years! I've spoken to so many such people over the years, and have used it for similar reasons for about a decade. I used to see them in the past and be on the fence, but now I just have to laugh. I've seen posts like these a few times over the years.

This is just another demonstration of how buggy, irregular and overall unreliable linux is, I'm gonna stay with Windows and upgrade to Windows 11, it's all true that linux is and won't ever be ready for reliable and professional use.

You can install it using the aforementioned Software Manager program. I would encourage you to consider using a Linux native virtual machine (KVM) implementation with Virt-Manager. I have used VMWare on ESXi servers as a bare metal type 1 hypervisor but, I have never used it as a hosted type 2 hypervisor on Linux MInt. You can access it from the Linux Mint Menu and enter software manager in the search box. Most new or casual Linux Mint users are better served using the Software Manager program to install additional software. However as a technical user, I have many dislikes concerning macOS. I know a lot of people on this forum will not like me saying this but, I think the macOS environment is probably the best user experience for most non-technical or casual users. But over time with my effort to learn, I began to enjoy it. I remember using macOS for the first time and, I was as condescending as you are now about Linux. So I donwloaded it directly from the mint installation (before I copied the downloaded file to the mint installation) and unexplicably it worked, this is just another demonstration of how buggy, irregular and overall unreliable linux is, I was planning to get acquainted with it on a virtual machine installation and then to install it on my computer for work and other stuff but I'm gonna stay with Windows and upgrade to Windows 11, it's all true that linux is and won't ever be ready for reliable and professional use.Īny new operating system and ancillary programs will take time to learn.
